Post-Soviet Russia: Has Life for Russians Changed for Better?

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

————-

I

Russia is now under the poll grip with an impending presidential poll for which Russian premier and former president Vladimir Putin is dead focused on returning to the Kremlin as president for a third term only to perpetuate his whims in Russia in the name of a “stronger Russia”, fueling unnecessary and illogical fanatic crisis across the nation, while playing second fiddle to world’s most fascist nation the USA which is also under the similar fanatic-terror grip because of the presidential poll.

Obviously, Russia is no different from other terrocracies although it pretends to challenge the imperialist ambitions of USA and NATO. A former super power challenging the western capitalist powers on ideological basis and controlling the developing nations by selling arms in order to gain influence in all regions, the Kremlin has, since the end of so-called cold war, been reduced to a mere power to oblige the only super power of the day the USA. People neglected by the new reign in Moscow, developed a parasitic way of life, making illegal incomes by immoral means.

Soviet leaders has focused on military prowess, especially nuclear arsenals, and economic power and welfare of common people got less importance as years passed by when the US led west accelerated anti-regime operations by CIA conspiracies to remove communism and socialism. Without state protection people became lethargic. State failed.

Last president of erstwhile Soviet Union, Michael Gorbachev who went for reforms on a large sale, perhaps sought to improve the life standards of average Russians, who have suffered greatly even under the communist rule, by arresting negative trends like rampant corruption, crimes, and extra liquor, etc, gathered in the society for decades of rigid system. Failed in his attempt to refine Russian society and system, Gorbachev divided the Soviet Union into 15 constituent nations, hoping that corruption would end and people will have a better life.

Alas, Gorbachev, failed again. The post-Soviet system has not done anything significantly improve the life patters of people. It has only created a big beggar class to serve the oligarchs and other capitalist layers of new Russia.

Soviet system had become rigid controlled by the party apparatchiks- high officials. These big guys have become main capitalists of new post-Soviet Russia.

But those old “golden” days are over, and Russia needs to reconcile itself to the fact it is no longer an empire.

Rulers in Russia, like their counterparts elsewhere, want to continue to rule by promoting corporate interests and care a damn to welfare of people.

After almost a hundred years of the very complicated Russian history, after the Bolshevik Revolution, after the Democratic Revolution in 1991, Russia is coming back to the civilized world

The leaders of Post-Boris Yeltsin era in Russia, mainly Putin and Medvedev, make people keep lamenting about the “lose of empire” in order to strengthen their hold on power. The collapse of the Soviet Union 20 years ago changed the world’s geopolitical balance.

When the Soviet Union fell, it ended the tenure of a superpower with the resources of more than a dozen countries. The fall left its largest component, Russia, unable to wield anything like the global clout that the Soviet Union had for decades.

In order to divert the attention of people and world from their failures, Russian leaders keep the “great empire” alive. Empire lost syndrome of Russian elites has been criticized by the west. Russians are still struggling to come to terms with that.

II

Not even Putin could certify that lives of people in post-Soviet Russia have changed phenomenally for the better. Of course, not!

However, Putin said the opposition has no unified program, no clear way of reaching its aims and nobody who can achieve something “concrete.” Putin also said he wants Russia’s March presidential election to be absolutely transparent and insisted he does not need vote rigging to win the poll.

The sudden rise of Russia’s democracy movement is posing the biggest challenge yet to his 12-year strongman rule. It sounded like a TV game show. In a tightly choreographed event, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev announced that he would swap jobs with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin … after the formality of presidential elections March 4.

Alleged voter fraud in the December 4 Russian parliamentary elections has spurred the largest protests since the collapse of the Soviet Union 20 years ago. Activists say Putin’s United Russia party illegally won a narrow majority through voter fraud. They want to throw out the results and hold a new vote. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, a discovery of Putin to play joint operations together, has appointed a top Kremlin official to the post of deputy prime minister, as part of a government reshuffling following the elections. Vladislav Surkov previously served as Kremlin first deputy chief of staff. Activists also say measures are needed to prevent more fraud in Russia’s presidential election in March, when Putin hopes to return to the post he held from 2000 to 2008.

Russia is now land of mass protests for better life while the regime continues to promote capitalist interests of oligarchs and its allies. The next goal for the democracy movement is a protest rally in Moscow attended by one million people. That presumably could have an effect on the March 4 presidential election, which as recently as three months ago analysts were calling Putin’s coronation.

Organizers of a protest in Moscow say more than 100,000 people joined the rally in below-freezing temperatures, exceeding the size of a similar protest earlier this month. At the protest, people threatened to take a crowd and storm the Kremlin if the pro-democracy demonstrators are rebuffed in the weeks ahead. The Moscow demonstrations and smaller anti-Putin rallies in other cities are the largest show of discontent in Russia since the 1990s. Medvedev has responded by promising reforms to allow more competition in elections beyond 2012. He is stepping down in March to make way for Putin’s candidacy.

Many speak for Russia’s new, politically active middle class. A critical mass of Russians has stopped fearing the government. They believe that government should serve the people – not the other way around. But three months and one controversial parliamentary election later, about 100,000 people came out in Moscow to chant: “Russia without Putin.” What snapped in Russia?

Russia went through two revolutions in the 20th century – the first to establish communism, the second to root it out. People now want reform for the sake of people, not another revolution for promoting political interests of a few individuals. Drawing on Russia’s turbulent 20th-century history, they say now no one wants to execute the czar or fire tank shells at the prime minister’s office.

Russia’s state-controlled TV channels all lie, and the only place to find the truth is on the Internet. People organize entirely through the Internet. Putin recently charged on national TV that some demonstrators are being paid to stage protests. Gerasimov and others see that as an insult. He said Russian protesters are not paid – certainly not by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or President Barack Obama. Gerasimov said people are taking part in protest actions voluntarily, to take part in what they see as a historic moment in Russia’s history.

For now, the opposition’s goal seems to postpone presidential elections to late April. The opposition wants new strong faces and new parties competing in a free and fair vote. Alexei Navalny, the opposition’s rising star, said he would be a candidate.

III

People are concerned about almost permanent nature of Pui9tn’s term at the helm of affairs of Russia. A win by Putin could result in his maintaining power until 2024. Although the scale of rallies suggests that Russia’s political life is on the cusp of change, there is no hope that would improve considerably the people lives. Moscow residents did not hesitate to express their discontent by going to the streets and demand the elections to be re-run.

Former Soviet Premier Mikhail. Gorbachev has called upon Putin to step down only to be faced by rejection and even accused of instigating the collapse of the Soviet Union. Putin-Medvedev think they would find a compromise with the opposition or resort to coercion. They believe that state and regime is above people who should serve the regime first by voting the leaders to power.and then to silently watch the whims of the regime.

Russians continue to suffer and their life is worse now. Post-Soviet leaders are guilty. Contemporary Russia is focused on “empire” with super power status through extra nuclearism, arms-liquor deals, secret triclomacy with western terrocracies to destabilize Muslims nations- and not at all bothered about people’s real welfare.

In order to further expand the capitalist structures and perpetuate their joint regime, the Putin-Medvedev duo goes all out to split the opposition and weaken the ability of the opposition parties and leaders. The Kremlin also uses one party against the other so that its prolongation ensured.

Russia’s democracy claims are as much mischief as of other terrocracies. A terrocracy aims at perpetuation of power at any cost and can never create genuine living conditions for people to live a better life and Russia is no different.

In exhorting the people for more labor to promote Kremlin’s absolute power over people, Russian leaders exploit the poor Russians by playing with psyche of Russians, feeding “great power” gimmicks.
Russians should realize that the claims of regime to make Russia super power are fanatical and pure fake. Old super power status is irretrievable, especially when they also aid the fight against Islamic nations along side their supposed arch enemies.

Glory of nation could be measured by their living standards and freedoms they enjoy – and not by the bogus notion of how high is the economic strength of that nation.

People are above the nation!

Australian OpenTennis: Djokovic Enjoys His Laugh!

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

———

A tennis tournament of nerves. Indeed it was for hours! Serb Novak Djokovic and Spaniard Rafa Nadal fought bravely to its logical end. Finally, world number one Djokovic, a Serb from East Europe, won his third Australian Open title in the early hours of Jan 30 when he outlasted Spain’s Nadal. The defending champion battled past Nadal in an epic, five-set Australian Open final which clocked in at 5hr 53min — the longest title match in grand slam history. It was the Serb’s seventh successive win in a final and his third consecutive victory over Nadal in a Grand Slam final.

Djokovic, who won the title at Melbourne Park in 2008 and 2011, has now won five grand slam titles in total and continues his recent domination over the Spaniard, having beaten him in their last seven meetings, all in finals.

Djokovic found it hard, for, Nadal was very too strong, he was determined and he was never going to give in. It was a thrilling experience for any one who watched the tournament directly or on TV sets, but watching the intense battle between the top two tennis aces in Melbourne was an exceptional experience. But then to add to the mounting tension, action was suspended while the roof was closed and the court dried due to rain. When play restarted the set went to a tie-break, with Nadal clinching the set at his first opportunity, as Novak Djokovic went long and wide on the forehand.
The 25-year-old Spaniard from Majorca, deposed from the top ranking by Djokovic after his defeat in last year’s Wimbledon final, dug deep in the fourth set, getting back into the contest through sheer force of will.

It was a match of wildly swinging fortunes, which started before 8:00 pm on Sunday, but did not wind up until 1:40 am. At several points Nadal over-powered the world’s number one but Djokovic became the ultimate winner. The Serb had cut a frustrated figure in the first set, slamming his racquet to the ground when he was broken for the first time and falling one set behind. A re-energized Djokovic found his rhythm in the second set, leveling the match on his fourth set point and, starting to dictate, ran away with the third set, overpowering Nadal and breaking him to love to win it 6-2. Djokovic fought back from losing the first set to take a 2-1 lead, but he was then taken to a gripping fifth set by resurgent Nadal before winning 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 (5/7), 7-5 for his third consecutive major title. In a dramatic fifth set, Nadal secured a crucial break in the sixth game. But with the Spaniard now suddenly looking the more likely winner, Djokovic battled back to break.

The match outstripped the 1988 US Open final between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl, which lasted 4hr 54min, and also beat the Australian Open record of 5hr 14min set by Nadal and Fernando Verdasco.

In the woman’s final a Belarus from East Europe, Victoria (3) Azarenka thrashed Russia’s Maria Sharapova (4) to claim the world’s number one . Both these players have the habit of howling while hitting the ball, making their play almost unbearable.

Flexing of muscles when the tennis players win a game or make a point or set is the ugly show and hardly none in the field who has avoided this dirty gestures, while they lose a game or point or set, they behave like wounded solders. That is also unnecessary nonsense. Federer has tried to made some amendments but but too late.

The man from Serbia seems invincible. By winning his third Australian Open title and his fifth Grand Slam trophy in seven minutes short of six hours, he has rewritten history, that is for sure. Melbourne Park has never witnessed a longer match. Once again R. Federer has been reduced to stay way behind, signaling his earlier exit from Tennis and Djokovic inflicted the deepest of wounds to Nadal’s psyche..

The Serb, as usual, fell on to the court on his back as if with fits movements, and then ripped off his shirt in celebration and marched to his players’ box flexing his muscles and then hugging his coach. Djokovic, who picks up a cheque for Aus$2.3 million (US$2.4 million), has now beaten the Spaniard in three consecutive grand slam finals and seven consecutive title matches overall.

The match took 353 minutes and involved 369 points. Nadal said he played more aggressive, trying to put a positive spin on matters. “I played with more winners than ever. My serve worked well. The mentality and the passion was there another time better than probably never another time.”

Djokovic said after the match that he was playing against one of the greatest players ever, tired but euphoric, because “the player that is so mentally strong, and he always comes up with his best game and best shots at the right moments”. Nadal fought back as never before.

Undoubtedly, while Federer can win only if Nadal or Djokovic do not come to the finals and he is already in oblivion in the presence of Djokovic and Nadal, Rafael still remains the most serious contender for the top slot to replace the Serb to regain the lost glory.

The Melbourne fight demonstrates that.

Post-Soviet Russia: Life for Russians is worse now!

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

————-

II

Not even Putin could certify that lives of people have changed for the better.

Russia’s state-controlled TV channels all lie, and the only place to find the truth is on the Internet. People organize entirely through the Internet. Putin recently charged on national TV that some demonstrators are being paid to stage protests. Gerasimov and others see that as an insult. He said Russian protesters are not paid – certainly not by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or President Barack Obama. Gerasimov said people are taking part in protest actions voluntarily, to take part in what they see as a historic moment in Russia’s history.

Russia went through two revolutions in the 20th century – the first to implant communism, the second to root it out. People now want reform, not another revolution. Drawing on Russia’s turbulent 20th-century history, they say now no one wants to execute the czar or fire tank shells at the prime minister’s office.

For now, the opposition’s goal seems to postpone presidential elections to late April. The opposition wants new strong faces and new parties competing in a free and fair vote. Alexei Navalny, the opposition’s rising star, said he would be a candidate.

An Observation

Contemporary Russia is focused on nuclearism, arms-liquor deals, secret triclomacy with western terrocracies to destabilize Muslims nations- and not at all bothered about people’s real welfare.

In order to further expand the capitalist structures and perpetuate their joint regime, the Putin-Medvedev duo goes all out to split the opposition and weaken the ability of the opposition parties and leaders. The Kremlin also uses one party against the other so that its prolongation ensured.

Russian policy has been to outsmart USA and regain super power status but USA makes all efforts to block the Russians form effecting another “come back”. Normally, Russia is considered as a spoiler in international relations. It wants a global role. It wants to sit astride the world stage and act as it used to be able to do. And it can still do that to a certain extent. But for the most part, it acts as a spoiler or a counterweight to the West, at best. Experts say 20 years later Russia’s leaders are facing a choice – try to regain the past glory of the Soviet Union, which could be irrevocably lost, or become constructive partners in the multipolar world the country’s former leaders once envisioned.

Moscow always gains in profits by selling their terror goods to Iran, Syria and other Muslim nations. Russia shields Assad’s regime from UN economic terror sanctions and continues to provide it with weapons even as others impose arms embargoes.

And also pretends to be the defender of humanity. It betrayed both Iraq and Libya and helped the NATO to destabilize the energy rich Arab world. Russia’s defiance of international efforts to end Syrian President Bashar Assad’s rule or at least the crackdown on aimless protests is rooted in a calculation that it can keep a Mideast presence by propping up its last remaining ally in the region.

The Kremlin only protects it trade interests especially in terror goods. The Moscow regime has put itself in conflict with the West for favors. And Russia, a strong veto member of notorious UNSC and controlling world politics , has nothing to lose if it fails.

Russia lost nothing when pro-Moscow and anti-US Saddam Hussein was brutally murdered and sovereign Libya was almost destroyed by the NATO terrorists as per instructions by CIA agents, when Libyan leader Col. Qaddafi was assassinated in ugly manner and Libya was destabilized too , looting its b vast energy resources- also by the same CIA agents.

Russia longed, rather crawled, for too long for entry into WTO. And with collaboration on NTO terror wars in Islamic world, it has achieved that temporarily. In order to promote its international interests, the Russians early on talked about multipolarity. For this reason, Russia continues to try to assert itself in international affairs.

And it recently joined the World Trade Organization, a move Russian delegate Anatoly Chubais said is the first step toward a more prominent international role. But multipolarity became a dirty word in the USA – they do not like it. But in the end Russia and China and India, Brazil, to its own extent, Europe and Japan are all major players on the world scene playing on multipolarism.

Russia’s strong man and Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin keeps fueling the nostalgia about great imperial power status for Moscow because Russians enjoyed that status for centuries.

Putin wants to continue to rule Russia so long as he likes and just blames that the opposition lacks goals and leaders, and he has rejected demands for a rerun of Russia’s recent parliamentary elections. The Kremlin leader says he wants the election to be absolutely transparent, and insists he does not need to rig the vote in order to win what would be his third term as president. However, judging by the rapidly changing mood in Russia, he may now be fighting for his political life.

The Russian empire is gone. And its ‘sphere of influence’ is an anachronism to which nobody else subscribes. Now Russia is an assistant of USA and collaborator of NATO. Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Thomas Pickering said after 1991 the world developed somewhat along the lines Russia expected, and the United States did not want.

The world has changed a lot since the fall of the Soviet Union. China has become a major world power. The European Union as well as USA has expanded into the old Soviet sphere of influence, and may go farther into the former Soviet Union itself. Militant groups have sought new benefactors. Moscow is trying to play a positive, pro-US fiddle, part.

Russia’s democracy claims are as much mischief as of other terrocracies. A terrocracy aims at perpetuation of power at any cost and can never create genuine living conditions for people to live a better life and Russia is no different.

Glory of nation could be measured by their living standards and freedoms they enjoy – and not by the bogus notion of how high is the economic strength of that nation.

People are above the nation!

Australian Open: Djokovic beats Nadal, again

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

———

It was a thrilling experience for any one who watched the tournament directly or on TV sets, but watching the intense battle between the top two tennis aces in Melbourne was an exceptional experience. But then to add to the mounting tension, action was suspended while the roof was closed and the court dried due to rain. When play restarted the set went to a tie-break, with Nadal clinching the set at his first opportunity, as Novak Djokovic went long and wide on the forehand.

Finally, world number one Djokovic, a Serb from East Europe, won his third Australian Open title in the early hours of Jan 30 when he outlasted Spain’s Rafa Nadal. The defending champion battled past Nadal in an epic, five-set Australian Open final which clocked in at 5hr 53min — the longest title match in grand slam history. It was the Serb’s seventh successive win in a final and his third consecutive victory over Nadal in a Grand Slam final. Nadal was strong, he was determined and he was never going to give in.

It was a match of wildly swinging fortunes, which started before 8:00 pm on Sunday, but did not wind up until 1:40 am. At several points Nadal over powered the world’s number one but Djokovic became the ultimate winner. The Serb had cut a frustrated figure in the first set, slamming his racquet to the ground when he was broken for the first time and falling one set behind. Djokovic fought back from losing the first set to take a 2-1 lead, but he was then taken to a gripping fifth set by resurgent Nadal before winning 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 (5/7), 7-5 for his third consecutive major title.

In a dramatic fifth set Nadal secured a crucial break in the sixth game. But with the Spaniard now suddenly looking the more likely winner, Djokovic battled back to break. The 25-year-old Spaniard from Majorca, deposed from the top ranking by Djokovic after his defeat in last year’s Wimbledon final, dug deep in the fourth set, getting back into the contest through sheer force of will. A re-energized Djokovic found his rhythm in the second set, leveling the match on his fourth set point and, starting to dictate, ran away with the third set, overpowering Nadal and breaking him to love to win it 6-2.

The Spanish left-hander saved three break points in the eighth game, producing a fist-pumping celebration when he leveled at 4-4. A stunning 31-shot rally at the start of the ninth game left Djokovic on his back, and Nadal then fought off a break point to hold. The match outstripped the 1988 US Open final between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl, which lasted 4hr 54min, and also beat the Australian Open record of 5hr 14min set by Nadal and Fernando Verdasco.

Djokovic, who won the title at Melbourne Park in 2008 and 2011, has now won five grand slam titles in total and continues his recent domination over the Spaniard, having beaten him in their last seven meetings, all in finals.

The man from Serbia seems invincible. By winning his third Australian Open title and his fifth Grand Slam trophy in seven minutes short of six hours, he has rewritten history, that is for sure. Melbourne Park has never witnessed a longer match. Once again R. Federer has been reduced to stay way behind, signaling his earlier exit from Tennis and Djokovic inflicted the deepest of wounds to Nadal’s psyche.. .

The match took 353 minutes and involved 369 points. Nadal said he played more aggressive, trying to put a positive spin on matters. “I played with more winners than ever. My serve worked well. The mentality and the passion was there another time better than probably never another time.”

Djokovic said after the match that he was playing against one of the greatest players ever, tired but euphoric, the player that is so mentally strong, and he always comes up with his best game and best shots at the right moments”. Nadal fought back as never before. He still remains the most serious contender for the top slot.

Islamophobia: Western imperialists want capitalist system in Islamic world

NATO opposes truly Islamic states

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

________________

Islamophobia, a direct consequence of Sept-11 hoax, engineered by the CIA and its allies, has been ignited and then exploited by fascist global media (FGM), is serious threat to establishing truly Islamic societies to make Muslims live as the best possible humans.

Triclomatic/diplomatic missions of western terrocracies across the globe, including in Muslim nations, create preconditions to creating essentially anti-Islamic societies and in Muslim nations this calculated mischief has made the Muslims anti-Islamic. That is the real tragedy for Muslims. .

Islam is being equated by anti-Islamic forces and FGM outlets with terrorism and the regimes are engaged in terrorizing Muslims and others.

There is now no one Muslim nation where leaders are free from corruption malaise. Liquor and crimes are encouraged even in Arab nations seeking to catch up with western terrocracies in many respects.

The great idea behind these smear campaigns have been unleashed to make all Muslim nations capitalist so as to promote NATO imperialistic wars.

Sept-11 hoax has changed the anti-Islamic scenario into new dirtiest levels. Non-Muslim nations have taken full liberties to treat Muslims as mere vote bank stuff and stray dogs. World does not get any sense of the crude fact that Muslims in India and Jammu Kashmir live in perpetual fear. Being a Muslim is a curse, being a Kashmiri Muslim is a crime. Muslims are treated by the Indians and their anti-Islamic media network like fearful terrorists. Kashmir Muslims are demanding their birth right to live with human dignity- not to be targeted and slaughtered by state terrorist gangs.

Islam does not stand for capitalism or any other form of exploitation.

But there has been serious misconception among large sections of Muslims as well as others that the central message of the Holy Quran is to promote rotten anti-humanity capitalism, western imperialism and colonialist values as essence of Islam. Even aimlessly “westernizing Arab nations like Dubai (UAE) are deadly focused on capitalism and “dutiful” promotion of NATO imperialism in Islamic world meant for securing energy resources and routes.

This mischievous assumption, if extended further, would also mean that the Holy Prophet of Islam was interested only in advocating Islam and had nothing to with practices.

Both are certainly wrong. Equality for all and fear for God are the central themes in the Holy Book and the Holy Prophet of Islam lived as practical human to serve the humanity and asked the people to live as the best possible humans. .

Many Muslim nations have been destabilized by the NATO rogues on the pretext of fictitious Sept-11 hoax. Millions of Muslims have already been murdered by anti-Islamic western forces- thanks mainly to wickedness of Arab world playing second fiddle to execution of secret agendas of USA-UK terror twins. .

But the petro-dollared Arabs even finance the notorious NATO imperialism in weak Muslim nations.

On the one hand, Islam is hated and despised by others. Western state terror forces under the banner of NATO terror syndicate have been attacking Muslim nations for resources and defaming Islam, slaughtering Muslims like hungry jungle beasts.

Western terrocracies therefore are not the natural allies of Islamic world both Arabs and others. Especially, it is so when the objectives of these regimes and the people who offer mandate to rule are contradictory to each other.

Nor the criminal terrocracies like Israel or India, killing Muslims as terrorists, and attacking and destroying mosques make any true friends of Muslim nations or Muslims.

On the other, explosive natures of lives in Muslim nations, where the rulers and their families and corporate rogues controls literally everything in the nation, exploiting all natural resources to promote capitalism and western terrocratic countries to protect t heir own illegally gotten wealth, is due mainly to the extraordinary inequalities existing in the societies.

In order to make system workable and people livable, certain reassures are of paramount importance to Muslim world. Every Muslim nation, including Indonesia which has got maximum Muslims, is duty bound to establish Islamic system to promote Islamic way of life.

The practice adopted by the global anti-Islamic media to quickly call Islamic way of life as anti- democracy is as old as time of birth of Islam itself. Whenever, in past, any sincere efforts of Muslim regimes was made to implement Islamic law and Islamic way of life, global fascist media (GFM) deliberately make a big hue and cry saying that Islam is being “imposed on democratic mined Muslims.

In order to face the anti-Islamic media effectively the media of Islamic world in toto must exercise vigil and expose the anti-Islamic agenda of terrrocracies in West and East. Muslim media must explicitly stand by Islam, its virtues and teachings.

However, unfortunately, the media run by Muslims even in Muslim nations are directly controlled by anti-Islamic media lords from within and abroad.

Global Muslims look upon the Arabs for guidance because the holiest Mosques are located in Arab world and prophet and his infallible disciples lived and worked with full commitment and dedication for Islam there.

However, Arab rulers brainwashed and corrupted by Americans and Europeans and some eastern nuts, for years of thick collaborations and joint operations, consider capitalism is the best way for Islam. Rather, many Arabs like non-Arabs perhaps think capitalism is Islam.

However, Arab rulers brainwashed and corrupted by Americans and Europeans and some eastern nuts, for years of thick collaborations and joint operations, consider capitalism is the best way for Islam. Rather, many Arabs like non-Arabs perhaps think capitalism is Islam.

since the Arabs buy goods, including liquor and other “sophisticated stuff” form USA and Europe and seek their assistance in spreading private wealth accumulation in their own countries and abroad, the Arab rulers and leaders just feel afraid of criticizing capitalism.

Not just that, in fact the real problem of imperialism comes with that process when the Western terrocracies go on rampage in energy-rich Muslim nations as well as countries like Afghanistan that has geopolitical, energy and Silk route values.

And, being parasitic about steeling alien resources, the Western rogue states talk about democracy and law, but they care a damn to these.

Muslim nations, Arab inclusive, and Pakistan should stop all anti-Islamic designs and activities in the countries that promote westernism and liquor culture that create obstructions to Islamic path. In doing so, they should not bury the people’s real voice of Islam.

Pakistan has an international role to play in molding the misguided Muslims into Islamic format. Islamic world should not use Islamic faith and Islamic law as a pretext to oppress the people.

Western terrocratic gangs oppose truly Islamic states in Islamic world because that would destabilize capitalism even in western world. .

An Observation

Neither Islam promotes capitalism nor is the message of the Holy Scriptures to promote imperialist fascism.

Humanity looks to Islam for guidance and survival, even as the Muslim nations and leaders look otherwise towards the western terrocracies to learn bribery techniques, secret crimes, hidden and open corruption, and liquor culture – known hitherto as democratic values.

Islam forbids all these and wants to inculcate true values of humanity.

What is the great point in amassing huge economic wealth by a nation indoors and abroad in gold and cash, when millions of people starve at home?

Problems of equality could crop up only when equality is ensured. Humanity would face them as and when necessary, accordingly.

Muslims have greater responsibilities than others. Rulers and leaders in Islamic world must wake up before it is too late and hurry up in working for the real welfare of all humans and if they are unable to think along those lines, then, it is advisable for them to retire and choose only those persons who can serve the mankind selflessly.

The chief goal of Muslim nations is not just to project strong economic index and economic growth as 12% or 20% or 35%, but constantly enhancing the living standards of every citizen in the country- both Muslims and others. They must strive for equality for all in true spirits.

The actual achievement of a nation in raising living standards of citizens of a Muslim would benefit other nations and humanity at large!

Once every Muslim nation begins pursuing sincerely the principle of Islamic equality, most of the problems now Muslims and others face would get resolved peaceful.

Post-Soviet Russia: Has life changed for Russians?

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

————-

Last president erstwhile Soviet Union, Michael Gorbachev who went for reforms on a large sale perhaps wanted to improve the life standards of average Russians, who have suffered greatly even under the communist rule, by arresting negative trends like rampant corruption and extra liquor, etc, gathered in the society for decades of rigid system. Failed, Gorbachev divided the Soviet Union into 15 constituent nations, hoping that corruption would end and people will have a better life.

Alas, he failed again. The post-Soviet system has not done anything significantly improve the life patters of people. It has only created a big beggar class to serve the oligarchs and other capitalist layers of new Russia.

II

Not even Putin could certify that lives of people have changed for the better.

For now, the opposition’s goal seems to postpone presidential elections to late April. The opposition wants new strong faces and new parties competing in a free and fair vote. Alexei Navalny, the opposition’s rising star, said he would be a candidate.

The next goal for the democracy movement is a protest rally in Moscow attended by one million people. That presumably could have an effect on the March 4 presidential election, which as recently as three months ago analysts were calling Putin’s coronation.

An Observation

But those old “golden” days are over, and Russia needs to reconcile itself to the fact it is no longer an empire. The empire is gone.

Normally, Russia is a spoiler in international relations.

Russia went through two revolutions in the 20th century – the first to implant communism, the second to root it out. People now want reform, not another revolution. Drawing on Russia’s turbulent 20th-century history, they say now no one wants to execute the czar or fire tank shells at the prime minister’s office.

Russia’s New Authoritarianism

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

———-

It is apparent the new Russian regime under Putin-Medvedev duo is bent upon retaining the old Soviet model of control and inventing new horizons to oppress the people and opposition that do not fall in line of Kremlin’s total control.Since Russia promotes western colonization process, especially massacres of Muslims, Russian leaders have enough freedom now to deal with the domestic opponents the way they deems fit.

Realignment of US-Russia terror ties got an unexpected boost, in favor of Russia, since Sept-11 hoax Russia is doubly happy about its new fate as a junior partner of USA. Putin-Medvedev duo, promoting crony capitalism and state crimes, seems to have developed cold feet at the rising anti-regime protests across the nation following poor showing by their United Russia party though it retains the majority in a reduced manner and malpractices in the parliamentary poll.

Russian regime is eager to split the opposition and invalidate the opposition parties though state maneuverings. As a result, Russia on January 27 disqualified Putin’s liberal challenger Grigory Yavlinsky from the March 4 presidential ballot, in a move slammed by his supporters as undermining the legitimacy of the polls.

Facing Russia’s largest protests since the turbulent 1990s, Medvedev last month proposed reducing the required number of signatures — a move the opposition said was being made too late. Yavlinsky, who was shown, winning less than three percent of the vote in most polls, founded Yabloko in 1993 as Russia struggled with a post-Soviet economic crisis that left many impoverished and looking for social protection.

And, Russia’s central elections commission said it could not accept nearly a quarter of the registration signatures gathered by Yavlinsky’s Yabloko (Apple) party because they were either photocopies of originals or fakes. EC announced that it will not able to register Yavlinsky as a candidate.

Russia’s strict presidential election rules require all independent candidates whose parties fail to win seats in parliament to collect two million signatures in a two-month span to win registration. The restriction has been heavily criticized by candidates as well as the growing protest movement against Putin, who will be standing for a third Kremlin term in the polls after his four year stint as prime minister. The disqualification “undermines the legitimacy of the vote. The authorities were particularly keen to make sure that Yabloko which sent thousands of observers to December’s parliamentary elections — was barred from monitoring the presidential vote. This was ordered directly by Putin,” said Sergei Mitrokhin, chairman of the liberal Yabloko party that Yavlinsky founded in 1993.

The Kremlin deliberately changed the presidential election rules. Putin had doubled the number of signatures required for candidates’ registration in 2004, a year in which he stepped up his campaign to centralize power by also announcing an end to direct elections for regional governors. The presidential election rules were tightened again in 2007 when Putin was about to hand power over to his hand-picked successor Dmitry Medvedev, giving candidates just a month to rally their support instead of the previous three.

The 59-year-old economist Yavlinsky always promoted more socially-oriented policies and twice ran for president, failing to break the 10-percent barrier in both 1996 and 2000. He made a surprise return to Russian politics last year after refusing to face Putin or then his “associate” Dmitry Medvedev in two past polls that he termed undemocratic.

The USA-UK terror twins always critical of Moscow, now closes its deadly eyes on Russia’s democracy deficits cheerily because the NATO terror syndicate has ensured the Russian support for their beastly crimes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan and elsewhere.

USA and Russia are also now the secret strategic partners. While USA supplies terror goods to Israel, Russia ships terror goods to India.

Cricket: Bowling and Fielding- Key to success
-DR. ABDUL RUFF

_______

After excelling in the first test against England in UAE, Pakistani bowlers were slow and somewhat undetermined as if they are under external pressure. It seems the ICC led by UK and India have assured the Pakistan to bring international cricket back to Pakistani stadiums. Hence Pakistan is unnecessarily slow-peddling, in stead of playing cricket. Pakistan should not be misled by Indo-UK triclomacy. .

There cannot be two opinions that bowling sand fielding are the key to prowess of bowling unit. Like poor bowling, fielding is not taken very seriously because all that the cricket nations want is big scores and tall score for select batboys. This possible only when bowlers and fielders keep just playing jokes in the name of cricket and, like the actors, make pretensions and show faces to show that they are unable to challenge the batboys. In fact fielding is horrible, letting the batboys celebrate at the crease.

A rare Australian fielding.Australian fielders at times try to play cricket. Stunning piece of fielding by Hilfy removing fast running Kohli is an example, but this is also unbelievable really. There was just one over left in the day, there is a nightwatchman Ishant to protect him but he ran to get out. Kohli pushed the ball to the on side and sets off for a quick single, but Hilfy swoops in from mid on and hit direct at the bowler’s end, Kohli couldn’t get there despite the dive. Alertness and direction are important ingredients for fielders.

Again, Lyon threw a deadly ball to Laxman, but caught by Shaun Marsh!! The change of bowling, field placement has worked. Excellent captaincy. Clarke had a man at that position specifically for that shot, and it worked. Laxman walks off for the last time in Australia. Not the best of balls – a bit short and turning in, Laxman goes on the backfoot and whips it, hits it well with all his wrists in action but doesn’t keep it down, the man at short mid wicket takes a simple catch.

The current practice of 3 review s for eat ch team must be done away with. Instead all LBWs must be directly viewed by the third umpire and declare so that bowlers would be less problematic.

Many times, the reviews show there is a clear LBW but the umpires have refused to declare so and the team does not opt to ask for review fearing losing all the 3 chances. That is not fair.

Bowlers take pains to get a wicket by LBW, but at times the umpires refuse or are reluctant to declare OUT. Pakistan didn’t take a review when replays showed Jonathan Trott was out leg before while they wasted their reviews on two other instances.

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar says at times the cricket grounds, like in Abu Dhabi, do not suit fast bowlers. Akhtar, who retired from all cricket during the 2011 World Cup, said the players have to evolve with every match taking into consideration the conditions and weather at a particular time. He felt that Pakistan needed to do better in using the Umpires Decision Review System, insisting the role of the wicket-keeper was very important in advising his captain when to take reviews.

Test cricket played for 5 long days is indeed quirky and irrelevant today when other formats are available like the ODI, 20/20, even newest 5 overs.. It is high time to wind down the Test and try to evolve a shorter version which uses bowlers to maximum extend and train them more, does not focus on the fate of batboys’ future.

Recently Pak-South Africa and Aus-India teams played out the test in 3 days, but then shifted to longer time toil.

The series belonged to Australia. On 28th January , after India celebrated republic day with the usual display of its latest stock of terror goods on New Delhi’s most beautiful road, was the end of another day that also belonged to Australia. The previous day itself Australians had managed to pick up 6 wickets for just 166, leaving the last 4 tailenders to, what a post paid in Indian running commentator aptly put it, complete the final rites. It looks Australia would relieve the Indian guests, who have enjoying holiday trip for days now when majority of peole of iNid are starving without basic amenities, in a matter of 2 hours.

That means Australia has won the test 4-0. That also means India, claiming to be best in everything but kills innocent Kashmiri Muslims for years now ( Already 100,000 defenseless Kashmiri Muslims have murdered by innocent looking “democratic” India- literally a terrocracy!) , has been crushed and thrown into dust bin.

Do you think India will change or is capable of change at all?

I have no answer!

Awards of importance are akin to the so-called honorary doctarates bestoved and ahred among big guys on exchange program.

Year after year Indian regime by some familiar process of elimination very religeoulsy pick up some favorites for national awards of varying levels and categories ostensibly for their “contribution” to their respective fields, ignoring the vital aspect of personal integrity or the nature of selfless service to nation in a sustained manner. This practice is akin to regular polls conducted to claim legitimacy for the misgovernance and crimes.

In every filed, Indian government has instituted awards at the national level for promoting award seekers and the special national awards also including all these institutions for distributing awards as a ritual. In fact, the general practice is to consider all awards “managed” by the aspirant candidates in their respective institution for the special national awards.

Obviously, this is futile, futile and bogus exercise, generating a wide network of mafias to canvas for their candidates for the presidential awards. .

Question is: how many of those who have been awarded the national prizes are real stuff of national pride?

People make wealth in all possible ways and almost buy awards in India. Many award winners have become exposed as rogues later.

Bharatratna should the ultimate goal any construcitve creator who serve the antion selflessly. Such people are not there in India.

Indian mafias have been pestering the regime to post of Pharatratna cricketer S. Tendulakar who has amassed runs on immoral means, including “give and take” and “exchange of 100 plus” between the select batboys form each team according to some fake formula. Now a days the bolwers refuse to let him make merry at the crease and remov ethim very early.

This year the Indian ministry of sports announced that they have for the first time in years abandoned Sachuin Tendulkar, considered by many including in the sports and other ministries as a major Hindu god with large networks of “devotees”, worshippers, supporters, mafias , advertisers, etc, from their recommendation list for the prestigious award of Pharatratna- a move that has shocked the major media outlets and lords.

If the best model citizens are not available, do not award the favorites the prizes and just wait for the time.

Better do away with such national awards of select people, when really committed people are ignored, if available, by the selectors and others.

The issue of national awards is as grievous as the occupation of alien Jammu Kashmir plus the ongoing brutalitiess perpetuated by the paid state terrorists and their agents there.

Should entertianments like cricket where “fixing” and collective operations are in vogue, be treated as prestige of a nation? ,

Meanwhile, Sachuin should surrender the awards he has managed so far to the government.

Alternativley, the state can also confiscate the all awards.

Islam is not for capitalism or imperialist fascism

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

________________

Islam does not stand for capitalism or any other form of exploitation.

But there has been serious misconception among large sections of Muslims as well as others that the central message of the Holy Quran is to promote rotten anti-humanity capitalism, western imperialism and colonialist values as essence of Islam. Even aimlessly “western”izing Arab nations like Dubai (UAE) are deadly focused on capitalism and “dutiful” promotion of NATO imperialism in Islamic world meant for securing energy resources and routes.

Millions of Muslims have already been murdered by anti-Islamic western forces- thanks mainly to wickedness of Arab world plying second fiddle to execution of secret agendas of USA-UK terror twins.

Especially when the objectives of these regimes and the people who offer mandate to rule are contradictory to each other.

Nor the criminal terrocracies like Israel or India , killing Muslims as terrorists, and attacking and destroying mosques make any true friends of Muslim nations or Muslims.

However, unfortunately,l the media run by Muslims even in Muslim nations are directly controlled by anti-Islamic media lords from within and abroad.

However, Arab rulers, brainwashed and corrupted by Americans and Europeans and some eastern nuts, for years of thick collaborations and joint operations, consider capitalism is the best way for Islam.

An Observation

Neither Islam promotes capitalism nor the message of the Holy Scriptures is to promote imperialist fascism.

Humanity looks to Islam for guidance and survival, even as the Muslim nations and leaders look otherwise towards the western terrocracies to learn bribery techniques, secret crimes, hidden and open corruption, liquor culture – known hitherto as democratic values.

Islam forbids all these and wants to inculcate true values of humanity.

The chief goal of Muslim nations is not just to project strong economic index and economic growth as 12% or 20% or 35%, but constantly enhancing the living standards of every citizen in the country- both Muslims and others. They must strive for equality for all in true spirits.

Once every Muslim nation pursues sincerely the principle of equality, most of the problems now Muslims face would get resolved peaceful. The actual achievement of a nation in raising living standards of citizens of a Muslm would benefit other nations and humanity at large!
