UN: Pakistan alleges India spreading terror on their soil!
-Dr. Abdul Ruff
Pakistan said at United Nations it has handed over dossiers to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon containing evidence of alleged Indian involvement in terrorism in the country and links of its security agencies with the Tehrik-e-Taliban in Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Exercising its Right of Reply in the UN General Assembly in response to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj’s address, the Pakistani representative said it handed over on Thursday to the Secretary General dossiers containing “evidence” of Indian involvement in terrorism and fermenting instability in Pakistan.
The dossiers include details of Indian interference and support for terrorism in Balochistan and Karachi as well as its security and intelligence agencies link with the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan especially in FATA,” the representative said in the Right of Reply from the floor of the General Assembly.
Pakistan accused India of using the “terrorism bogey” for stalling the bilateral dialogue between the two countries. “India’s insistence to limiting the talks to a one-point agenda proves that it is neither interested nor serious in engaging in a genuine dialogue,” he said.\
The representative accused India of failing to bring to justice perpetrators of terrorism against civilians in the 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings. Rubbishing Pakistan’s four-point formula for peace, Ms Swaraj had asserted that it is ready to discuss all issues if the neighbouring country addresses “just one” point of ending terrorism emanating from there as she proposed NSA-level talks to address the problem.
Sushma Swaraj said Pakistan must “give up terror” if the two countries must “sit down and talk.” Addressing the UN General Assembly in Hindi , as the Hindutva leaders are fond of exercising their Hindu-Hindi rights in UN, Swaraj landed a solid left hook to counter Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s four-point peace initiative. “We do not need four points, we need just one – give up terrorism and let us sit down and talk.
However, like its strategic partner Israel does, India does not want to talk at all. Israel wants to impose its will on besieged Palestinians while India imposes its w military will on Kashmiris and wants Pakistan to support Indian cause of illegal occupation so that New Delhi can stop using the terrorism ploy to belittle Islamabad.
While those who kill Kashmiri Muslims by regular trapping mechanism enjoy impunity for their crimes against humanity, Ms Swaraj had also referred to the perpetrators of 26/11 attacks who continue to roam freely in Pakistan and pressed the world community to ensure that countries which provide finances, safe havens and arms to terrorists “pay a heavy price”.
US president Obama, before leaving the high Oval office, should use the CIA’s triclomatic skills to push Indian military out of Kashmir and let Kashmiris live in peace as they had done until 1947 when India invaded their nation and since then brutally occupies it.
Occupation of Kashmir should not be a part of Indo-US or Indo-Israeli strategic partnership.
